The Story Behind Willow House

Willow House grew from a love of bringing people together, creating something with your own hands, and making ordinary moments feel special.

My background has always centered around creativity and celebrations. I started as an event planner at Dearborn Country Club, helping people bring their ideas to life and create meaningful moments with the people they love. Later, I had the opportunity to teach wood and pottery classes at The Framery, and I quickly fell in love with the experience of gathering around a table, learning something new, and watching people leave proud of something they had created themselves.

Over time, my creativity found its way into the kitchen. I began baking, and before long, my kids were pulling up chairs to the counter, asking to help measure, mix, decorate, and—of course—taste test. Some of my favorite memories weren't about what we made, but the time we spent together making it.

Those experiences planted the seed for Willow House.

I wanted to create the kind of place I was always looking for as a mom—a welcoming space where families could spend meaningful time together, kids could try something new, friends could gather around a table, and life's big and little moments could be celebrated.

At Willow House, you might come to bake cookies with your child, learn a new craft with friends, celebrate a birthday, create a handmade gift, or simply enjoy an evening doing something different. Whatever brings you through our doors, my hope is that you leave with more than what you made.

I hope you leave with a memory.

That's the heart behind Willow House: a place to create, celebrate, and connect.
